Recap of December 2014 Meeting

Out last meeting for 2014 was fabulous!  There is so much talent in our group!

We will continue to develop and evolve as a Modern Quilt Guild and with everyone's enthusiasm and energy, next year will be even better!

We enjoyed goodies provided by Leslie and Tara and had a very lively brainstorming session to explore plans for next year. Thank you for all your wonderful ideas and suggestions.  The Board and Committees will take all that input and plan some exciting meetings and events for 2015!

Show and Tell

Celine's Snowman Pillowcases were so sweet!

 Rachel's striking Four Patch Quilt
Rachael also showed off her pencil pouches!

Table runner designed by Celine. Quilted by Sue.

Emily's Black/White/Red Challenge Quilt was beautiful!

Jean shared her Black/White/Green Challenge quilt!

Celeste's Tree Skirt with buttons was made with "25 degree Wedge"

Jenn is nearly done with the binding on her Mariner's Compass!

Denise shared the story of the "love" quilt made for her daughter. What a Mom!

Meredith's color challenge quilt has become a very sweet and personal momento for her!

Linda shared several beautiful quilts/projects. This one is created using the
"Sew Kind of Wonderful" Ruler
This is her chevron quilt - very modern!

These mini projects are part of her certification requirements - very nice!

Kathy's modern quilt is a bit of an illusion - it's really a nine-patch!
Her gorgeous charcoal quilt using quilter's linen will make someone very happy!

Jodi explained her Leaders & Enders quilt made from oodles of tiny squares!
Can't wait to see the finished quilt.

Modern Quilting Bee

The Modern Bee has caught on like wildfire! Here are some of our completed quilts from this first session!

Tara designed a beautiful and unique Bee quilt!

Leslie used the grey Michael Miller fabric for her Bee Quilt's background!
Love it!

Suzanne named her Bee Quilt "Ancient Messages" and it has a beautiful Aztec feel to it!

We can't wait to see what quilters from Month #4 do with their blocks! (below)
